During production, we filmed an interview with Susan Ewing, author, poet, and naturalist based in Bozeman, MT. Susan focuses on our relationship with the natural world by writing for broad audiences and communicating scientific topics in an accessible way. From children’s books to nature guides, and working directly with scientists, artists, and like-minded individuals, she provides a unique window into art, culture, and science inspired by the natural world. Much of her work and personal interest hovers around the common raven as a centerpiece, as evidenced in our interview setting!

Her most recent book, “Alaska is for the Birds” was selected as a winner for the 2022 National Outdoor Book Award. Other works include “Ten Rowdy Ravens” and “The Great Rocky Mountain Nature Factbook” among others.
